Prof. Dr. med. José R. Cabo-Soler belongs to different Scientific Societies in the fields of Nutrition, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Physiology, Endocrinology, Healthy Aging, Aesthetic Medicine and Medicine and has served as a member of the Board of Direction on several of them.

Prof. Dr. med. José R. Cabo-Soler has been President of the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine –SEME- for almost 10 years (1997-2007); a member of the Scientific Council of the Spanish Danone Institute, since its foundation in 1993; and belongs to the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Valencia Community as Corresponding Member since 1988.

He has participated and organized many Courses, Seminars and Congresses on Nutrition, Obesity, Healthy Aging and Aesthetic Medicine. Presently, he is the Medical Director of the Master in Aesthetic Medicine of the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain, since 1997. His main areas of interest are metabolic aspects of obesity,  hormones and aging, and nutrition.

Endocrinology and Nutrition

ACTIVITIES (related to nutrition, endocrinology and healthy aging)

  • Coordinator of over 15 conferences cycles on nutrition of the Valencian Foundation of Advanced Studies.
  • Director of 18 doctorate and post-graduate courses at the University of Valencia.
  • Invited speaker to many different courses for doctorate, summer universities in Spain and in different countries on topics of nutrition, endocrinology and healthy aging.
  • President of the organizing board of different national and international congresses in aesthetic medicine (XI International Congress (Seville, May, 1997), III European Congress (Valencia, October, 2001) and National Congresses of the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine –SEME- (XIV-XXII from 1997-2007).
  • Co-director of the University post-degree studies in Nutrition (220 hours) of the University of Valencia (1st edition: October 1997-October 1998; 2nd edition: November 1998-September 1999).
  • Medical coordinator and member of the Board of Directors of the first public university Masters in Aesthetic Medicine in the world at the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain (XIX editions completed, since 1997 to present) (620 hours).
  • Co-director of the course on “Hormones and aging” of the International University Menendez y Pelayo (UIMP) at Valencia,  July, 1998.
